Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson, an American actress is best known for her roles as Buffy Summers and Rebecca Becky Granger. She has also appeared as the roles of characters from the TV film Nightingales as well as the NBC series of the same name (which lasted only a few episodes) and Erica Paget from CBS's drama Early Edition, and Marlowe Viccellio on the TV show Psych. Being a native of California she was attracted to acting from the time she was a child. Her acting career began by appearing in numerous commercials. In 1984 she made her first appearance on screen in an episode of NBC's sitcom It's Your Turn. Her big screen debut came just two years later in the romantic drama Pretty in Pink. Swan was known for her blonde lisp and the breathless sound of her voice. In recent years, she's moved from main roles to smaller roles. She won an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture in the film Flowers in the Attic.
